FAN MEMORIES AND KEEPSAKES March 1, 1981 Basketball Program Coach Joe B. Hall was a leader among major college coaches with respect to strength and conditioning program. When Joe B. Hall became an Adolph Rupp assistant during the summer of 1965, he immediately implemented a rigorous strength and conditioning program for all players prior to the official start of practice for the 1965-66 season. Players on the 1966 UK team have said that they did not appreciate this new requirement, but after the season, they credited their great success with their superior strength and conditioning.
