Mr Inside was 6'5" Cotton Nash. Mr Outside was 5'11" Larry Pursiful. Nash became the first soph SEC scoring champ since Bob Pettit in 1952. At halftime of a Mississippi State victory over UK, Babe McCarhy told his players, "Dribble for 15 minutes and play defense for 5." Ohio State, led by Jerry Lucas and John Havlicek, defeated UK in the NCAA regional finals.
