Some called Mike Pratt a Conley/Kron rolled into one. Pratt as a high school player (Dayton Ohio) had made many trips to Lexington to see The Runts play as he was enchanted with the UK style of play: fast break, crisp passing, and the all around good shooting. Rupp said, "I thought Pat Riley was strong, but this kid Pratt is the strongest kid I've ever seen play basketball..." Casey and Pratt were All SEC. Issel was All American.
