Thank you Tubby for clarifying for all UK fans that while you believe UK is THE TEAM TO BEAT IN THE SEC THIS YEAR, you do not believe that your 2006-07 Kentucky Basketball team deserves to be ranked. We have been watching with great interest as this season has unfolded to determine whether your leadership will be sufficient to achieve such a "lofty" goal, winning the SEC.

Let's recap where UK stands at the beginning of the SEC season that you expect UK to win in 2007 as THE TEAM TO BEAT. The current national rankings do not include UK at present, and have not for many weeks. These very same rankings do include several other SEC teams including Florida, Tennessee, Alabama, and LSU. Arkansas and Georgia are both getting some recognition on the national level as well.

If UK is THE TEAM TO BEAT, then why is UK nowhere to be found in these national rankings and natinoal discussions? And today, you tell us that we don't belong in those rankings and discussions.

For the vast majority of UK basketball fans, this set of statements are yet another example of your OXYMORIC ways. The TEAM TO BEST that is UNWORTHY of National ranking, national recognition. This conflict in your statements is proof that Tubby Smith is not worthy to continue as UK's Head Basketball coach.

Here is your most recent statement:

"We don't deserve to be up there yet. We need to play better. We need to take care of business. If we do that, we'll be fine. "
