Andy Griffith's "What It Was, Was Football" was recorded in 1953.

Big Blue Fans For UK Basketball is Proud that Mr. Ron Goodbub,
a lifelong fan and friend of University of Kentucky Athletics,
is a contributing member of this website.
Mr. Goodbub has been generous to share
many of his personal keepsakes and memorabilia
which he has collected over the last 30+ years.

Thank You Mr. Goodbub.

A 1949 Football Commemorative Plate, given to each member
of the 1949 UK Football team, including each player,
each assistant coach, and the Head Coach, Paul “Bear” Bryant.
This plate was distributed at the official team banquet in 1949.
There were 61 plates made, and Mr. Goodbub believes
this particular plate is the one given to Coach Bryant,
who gave it to a neighbor who lived directly
across the street from Coach Bryant in 1949.
A true relic of UK Football's golden years.

This is an autographed picture of Bear Bryant as he was
coaching the 1948 UK Football Team.
Coach Bryant looks like he is about 25 years old.
A nice piece of UK Football History.
