Lost their only game to Florida in the SEC tournie. Dave Lawrence was a starting forward. He had led Corinth to a third place finish in the national high school tournie. He made a shot called the greatest ever in a national tournie during the third place game.

Frenchy DeMoisey was an All American as UK finished a 65-9 stretch. UK fans claimed a record 23 consecutive wins. Kansas claimed 35, but they were interupted by a loss to an athletic club team.
