CONCERNED FANS MESSAGE ABOUT THE LOSS
OF "PUBLIC AURA" BECOMING PART OF
TUBBY SMITH'S AND HIS PLAYERS' VOCABULARY

When Concerned Fans first emerged into full public view in June 2006 with our first Press Release, one of the points we made was that under Tubby Smith's "leadership" the UK program had lost much of its "public aura."   On October 19, 2006, as the current UK basketball team begins its preparations for the upcoming 2006-07 season, Ramel Bradley made the following comment, reported by the AP in a column published by MSNBC entitled, "

'Cats return with ‘different look,
different aura'

Better-conditioned Kentucky
eager to forget disappointing season

In this article, Ramel Bradley said,

ever since this summer.

with a different look,

a different aura.

In my many decades of following college sports, college basketball specifically, I have never once heard a player for any team talk about the team's "aura", have you?
